In the days immediately following the vanquishment of the Dark Riders of Mythoss, evil uprisings continued. Small bands of warriors were formed to combat these remaining threats. These bands eventually grew to become some of the greatest warriors in modern Mythoss. One of the fiercest of their armies was eventually absorbed into the Army of Leodysseus and became known as the Red Shield - named for the bloody symbols which soldiers marked on their shields during battle. With the return of Arethyr, the Red Shield has been resurrected as an elite fighting force within the Army of Leodysseus and has been tasked with eradicating this new threat.
