    VORONA held the distinction of being the only female member of the OKTOBER GUARD. After that team's dissolution, she returned to the Army of the Czech Republic (Armáda Ceské Republiky, ACR) as a helicopter flight instructor. She later took part in a Joint Tactical Operations exchange program and officially became a member of the G.I. JOE team, collaborating on European covert operations that involve the weapons dealer DESTRO and the ever expanding forces of COBRA.

    VORONA is a brilliant tactician, and is multi-talented, with the skills to pilot both light attack and heavy transport helicopters. She is also an expert marksman, exceptionally skilled with all Warsaw Pact weapons, particularly sniper rifles. Yet, having to work harder than her male counterparts for the same recognition gave her a rough edge, which was barely tempered by her coolness in the field. Separating herself from this past and vowing to take down corrupt governments is the reason why she has reinvented herself as the "crow".
