Star Wars 6" Black Series 4-LOM & Zuckuss 2 Pack (40th Anniversary)
4-LOM AND ZUCKUSS: When Kenner first produced the 4-LOM and Zuckuss figures, the names somehow got reversed. In this Star Wars 2-pack, the original packaging has been recreated, switched names and all.

Kenner, the toy company responsible for the original line of "Star Wars" action figures, ran a "Name the Droid" contest in the early 1980s. The contest was a promotion for the release of the action figure of the bounty hunter droid from "The Empire Strikes Back". The droid's original name in the contest was "Zuckuss."
However, there was a mix-up when the action figures were released. The names of two bounty hunter characters, Zuckuss and 4-LOM, were accidentally swapped. The character known as Zuckuss, the insectoid-looking bounty hunter, was mistakenly packaged and labeled as 4-LOM, and vice versa. As a result, the droid character with the protocol droid body and insectoid head, intended to be called Zuckuss, was incorrectly named 4-LOM.
Because of this error, many fans grew up knowing these characters by their incorrect names. It wasn’t until later that Lucasfilm and Kenner corrected the names: 4-LOM is actually the protocol droid with an insectoid head, and Zuckuss is the robed, Gand bounty hunter.
The "Name the Droid" contest is sometimes confused with this name mix-up, but it was separate from the action figure labeling mistake.
