In this video review from rebelscum.com, the newly released Republic Security Droid from season one of The Mandalorian gets a thorough inspection. The Black Series figure, stemming from the prison transfer ship, has been eagerly anticipated for some time. It has a striking appearance - owing to its height, sleekness and resemblance to the Imperial KX security droid, despite not being as tall. This Republic droid comes complete with the New Republic Crest, located on its chest and back, with subtle orange highlights to break up the different shades of grey. It also holds a detonator, similar to the troopers. The droid's physique has fair similarities with the KX model, shown prominently in the U-shaped panelling on their shoulder and hollow joints throughout the body. Additional technical features include pistons and textures, potentially a data port, a metallic vertebrae, and a bright yellow visor with a blue screen. The fully articulated figure has motion in its shoulders, biceps, elbows, wrists, torso, hips, knees and ankles, holding the blaster commonly used by the New Republic. The presence of the New Republic Crest is significant, as it's the first in a New Republic Army Builder.
