Collector's Notes:
The Translucent Windshield: The windshield is made of a thin, translucent yellow plastic that is extremely prone to cracking and breaking. These cracks often start at the base and can spiderweb across the entire piece.
The Exhaust Vents: The two small, cylindrical exhaust vents on the back of the vehicle are very easy to lose. They're just small plastic pieces that sit in a recessed hole and can fall out with handling. Without them, the back of the Land Speeder looks incomplete.
The "Free-Wheeling" Flaw: The vehicle's "free-wheeling" design, which allows it to roll along on three hidden wheels, has a major hidden flaw. The front wheel and the two back wheels are connected to an axle, but over time, the axle can snap. This is a particularly hard flaw to spot in photos, so you'll want to ask the seller for confirmation that the wheels turn smoothly and that the vehicle rolls straight without a wobble.
The Worn-Out Labels: The stickers or labels on the front hood and the side vents of the Land Speeder are notorious for peeling, fading, or getting torn. Finding a vehicle with the original labels perfectly intact is a good sign that it was not heavily played with and was well-cared for.
Collector's Tip: When you're searching, the most important thing to check for is the condition of the windshield. A photo of the vehicle from the front is essential. After that, confirm that the exhaust vents are present and that the wheels roll smoothly.
